What Replacement Windows Actually Cost Here

Real per-window installed ranges by style, from our actual local pricing — not a national average with a Wisconsin winter problem. Windows are currently scheduling ahead; the list gets first slots.

How Window Pricing Actually Works

Windows price per opening: the style (a double-hung and a bow window are different animals), the size, the glass package, and the installation your frames actually need. The ranges below assume standard white vinyl units, installed — color, wood-look, and upgraded glass move the number, and we price those openly at the consult.

Full-Frame vs. Insert: The Hidden Price Fork

Insert replacement keeps your existing frames — faster and cheaper when those frames are square and sound. Full-frame replacement strips to the rough opening and fixes what decades of Wisconsin weather did to the wood underneath. The honest contractor answer is window-by-window: many homes need a mix, and quoting them all as inserts is how lowball bids are born.

Whole-House vs. Worst-First

Whole-house orders earn the best per-unit pricing — one measure, one order, one install — and solve the whole comfort problem at once. But worst-first is a legitimate strategy: the north-facing offenders and the dead-seal foggers now, the rest on a plan. We quote both ways at the same visit so the math is yours to choose.

Why the Glass Package Matters More Here

A window that performs in Missouri leaks money in Green Bay. Low-E coatings tuned for heating-dominated climates, argon fill, and warm-edge spacers are the difference between a window that fights January and one that grows a frost ring. It’s a spec conversation, and we spec for here — it’s also where cheap quotes quietly cut corners.

Questions, Answered Straight

Why is there a 3-window minimum?

Mobilizing a measure, an order, and an install crew has a fixed cost — below three windows, we’d have to price each one unfairly high to cover it. At three or more, the per-window math works in your favor. Our window estimator gates itself the same way.

When will windows installs open up?

Windows are currently scheduling ahead — demand is real and the calendar shows it. Joining the list costs nothing and holds your place: when consult slots open, the list gets them first, in order.

Do new windows really lower heating bills?

Yes — how much depends on what they’re replacing. Going from single-pane or dead-seal double-pane to a modern Low-E/argon package is a real, felt difference in both the bill and the draft. It’s payback math we’ll walk through honestly at the consult, not a magic number from a brochure.
